It's been a good day

Okay, many things to say and not enough time to say them all. And once again, I'm not going to write about what I said I would. Sorry, my blog, my rules.....Plus, y'all will like this entry I'm sure.

First, to all those who have commented. Thanks so much. It really warms my heart that people find this interesting and want to say things. So please, keep commenting.

I swear I have been meaning to e-mail you, but the fact that I'm not sure if a trip to your neck of the woods will be possible (it likely will be I just have some things to nail down first) and the fact that every time I sit down to write the e-mail, I am struck by a terrible case of shy, squirmy writers block. Okay, well, I went (as I do every Thursday) to the main munch in town. It was a great deal of fun because some people were celebrating significant dates in there lives plus there were fun people there as always. Jack, but not Jill, was there (see the link on the left of who is who in my life) and even though I didn't get to talk to him as much as normal, its always fun to see him. Jack and Jill are (hopefully) going to start teaching me some of there crazy D&D-like games. I've never played, but hell, I'll try anything twice. Its a bit of a motto. Seriously, almost anything you want me to try I'll probably give it a shot...twice.

At the munch, I ordered myself my very first flogger from a great local vendor and it's going to be in my favorite kinky colors....black and red leather. I really love the opportunity to support small business owners, because having worked for some, I know how much business is appreciated. Don't get me wrong I love the Stockroom and other big players, but why not have someone make me something custom, in the colors I like and who will show me how best to use it. One unfortunate thing about the munch is that we are re-institutuing the no toys and no using toys in the bar rule. It was nice for awhile because I could always find a pretty girl to tie up for practice (just simple rope bras and karatas and wrist ties, no sceneing). But I completely agree with the reasons it was re-introduced and I know the leaders of the group made the right decision.

Also, the munch has become a challenge for me because of the number of smokers. I had to actually go huddle in the corner and just talk myself out of bumming a cigarette from a friend. But I am still smoke free (second hand smoke doesn't count....taking even one drag of a cigg would count) and its been 9 days. Maybe I have this thing licked.

Also, the Poet met a very cute mega slut (bisexual, switch and poly....how can that not be mega slut) at the munch and those two may be hooking up. I wish them the best of luck....plus its funny to watch the Poet suddenly come to all these realizations about what being a secondary would mean. I'll be watching this development with a slight grin on my face the whole time. It's nice because its no threat me to because a) I like poly stuff, I wish I could try it. b) the Poet and I only play in the sense that I try things on her in a non scene way. She knows how rope is supposed to feel on her and so she can offer tips and we're just friends c) I've been hoping she'd hook up with a boy for awhile, she really deserves to be happy.

Now, because when we got home the Poet and I were kinda horny and not at all tired (even at 3am) we decided to practice/play. I convinced her that a little flogger practice would be fun for both of us, and so she agreed to let me practice. See, practice is important, S&M can hurt people and if you break toys or people, you can't play with them. I swear by the moons of Jupiter that I will never become the top or bottom who says, about any topic, "No, I don't want to go to the class on X, because I already know everything about it". If big name players like Max, Monk and Matisse are all still learning after the many years they've been doing this....then I certainly have a lot to learn.
